The Proposal

After slight preparations, I decided to take my chances and propose to Elizabeth. I explained, to the best of my ability I assure you, the situation between us. I tried to "dumb it down" for her and explain how I am going against myself to propose to a commoner like her and how far apart we are on the social status. I still cannot believe the nerve of that girl! I mean a guy like me, me, is proposing to her and she refuses!
